The Town Twinning programme- "Europe for citizens"(Citizens meetings)
So called citizens meetings are being planned for together with Alsfeld in Hjo May 2008. The purpose with these meetings is to create connections with each other and to visualize the project. It is important that the project activates the local society and that the participants have an active role in the organisations. It is also important to focus on the European content, i.e. to supply knowledge about the European Union and about the lives of the Union citizens.

European Social Fund Project together with 12 other Folk High Schools in Sweden.
The purpose with this project is to employ persons that have difficulties to enter the labour market. The project is carried out in collaboration with the Swedish Employment Agency, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and the Municipal Social Welfare Services Departments. The duration of the project is three years and is coordinated by Furuboda/Bollnäs Folk High School and Gävleborg region´s county council and is partly financed by the European Union. The purpose is that within this project people with social disabilities will have the opportunity to study and to do internships.
